Nick Clegg is calling for Marriage Without Borders

Nick Clegg and DELGA are calling for Marriage Without Borders - for marriages and civil partnerships to be available in the UK to people regardless of gender, and for same-sex partnerships to be recognised throughout Europe and internationally.

The Marriage Without Borders petition was launched at Manchester and Reading Prides last year and quickly gathered hundreds of signatures. Now the campaign is online, and you can sign the petition and encourage your friends to do so.

Nick has repeatedly affirmed his support for equal marriage, most recently in an interview with Attitude magazine ahead of the General Election. Lib Dem equality spokesperson Lynne Featherstone added, "Until gay marriage is an option - we will not have absolute equality."
