Delga: Lib Dems for LGBT Equality

DELGA at Bournemouth - All The Dates!

1.19.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 12th Sep 2008

Bournemouth Pier

Bournemouth Pier is not the venue for any DELGA events.

Here's everything you need to know to keep up with DELGA at Federal Conference in Bournemouth

DELGA has a stall in the exhibition area, at stall 114 along the wall from the bag check. Come here to learn about our campaigns on LGBT asylum seekers, to join our LGBT candidate's network "Out To Win", or to join DELGA and support our vital work! We'll also have information on the local gay scene. We could do with more volunteers for shifts on the stall, particularly from our female members and supporters, so if you have an hour or two free do let us know.

DELGA's AGM is at 1pm on Sunday in the Connaught Hotel, Priory 1 Room. If you're a DELGA member (perhaps you just joined at our stall?) then come along to hear what DELGA has been up to this year, and where we'd like to go in future. There are a number of positions up for grabs on the Executive this year - if you're not a member, you won't have got the job descriptions in the post, so pick them up from DELGA's stall.

At 5pm on Sunday, DELGA and Hackney's policy motion "Deportation to States which Persecute on the Grounds of Sexuality and Gender Identity" (F21) will be debated and voted. If you're a voting rep, please go along and support this vital motion. If you're not, please request that your voting reps attend and support us!

Our Fringe meeting is at 6pm on Monday, in the Bryanston Suite of the Wessex Hotel. Presented with Stonewall, we're boasting top Lib Dems like Lord Chris Rennard, Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP and Lynne Featherstone MP along with Stonewall's Ben Summerskill, discussing "A Safer Britain For All".

On Tuesday towards the end of Conference we'll be letting our hair down a little with a social evening in the Branscombe Arms, 152 Commercial Road, from 8pm. Join us for a few drinks in a relaxed atmosphere in one of Bournemouth's top gay pubs.
