This year's joint DELGA / Stonewall fringe meeting at Federal Conference boasts top Lib Dem names. Lord (Chris) Rennard, Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP, and Lynne Featherstone MP join Ben Summerskill and Jen Yockney for a fringe meeting titled "A Safer Britain for all". Lord Rennard is Chief Executive of the Liberal Democrats and widely credited as the campaigner behind much of the party's advance in recent years. Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP sits on the European Parliament's Lesbian and Gay Intergroup and has recently campaigned to get the EU's bargaining power used to end the USA's bar on people with HIV entering the US. Lynne Featherstone MP is the party's Equalities spokesperson in the House of Commons. Ben Summerskill is Chief Executive of Stonewall, Britain's largest LGB charity. Jen Yockney is Chair of DELGA, the Lib Dems' LGBT organisation. The meeting starts at 6pm at The Wessex Hotel, Bryanston Suite on Monday 15th September.
